Currently, Emma Watson is pursuing a master’s degree at Oxford University. Her partner, Kieran Brown, is working on a PhD in 19th-century literature and economics. According to The Sun, a media source reported, “Emma is studying creative writing, and [Brown’s] thesis is focused on literary theory—so they have a lot in common. She seems very in love with Kieran.”

Before dating Brown, Emma Watson was in a relationship with Brandon Green, the son of a controversial businessman. Their relationship lasted from August 2022 to May 2023. After their breakup, Emma announced a hiatus from acting to focus on other pursuits.

In an interview, she explained, “Because I’m in a career that moves very quickly, deciding to take time off to focus on writing and studying felt like a significant choice. Going back to write, study, and work behind the camera was daunting because I had never done it before. I had always been in front of the camera as an actor.”

She added, “I’m really glad I made that choice because it has given me a sense of having my own voice, creative space, and autonomy that I didn’t have before.”

In 2011, at the age of 21, Emma Watson announced she was temporarily leaving Brown University. She explained, “As you know, I love Brown and studying, but recently, managing being a student alongside my other commitments has become quite challenging.”
